@: Kuala Kubu Baru for Rotation Postings

I was with full intention to finally make a post regarding eating out, but I got terribly disappointed and frustrated at something that I don't have the slightest mood now to do so :( Sorry people.

Not gonna be having any internet connection for the next 4 days, as I'll be having my postings in Kuala Kubu Baru. Will be back to delight you all with what happened (along with the former food. Teehee, it's actually going to be quite...interesting posting that.)

So see you when i get back :)

[This post will self-destruct when I get back and post about my postings.]

@: Sunway Pyramid: CLOTHES, CLOTHES, CLOTHES!

When I make a blog entry on clothes I buy, you know I'm desperate to make a blog entry. :p

Anyways, I had a mega haul getting clothes in 1 Utama around a month ago (it was the same day as the time I watched Mamma Mia!. If you have not watched it, I suggest you do. Or go for the musical one soon. You know you'll regret it if you don't. :D)

Here's the pile:

Yes, my 'big haul' consists of 3 pants, a shirt and a belt. Then again, I'm a guy so I guess this counts as something...big?

I'm not the biggest fan of buying clothes okay. And I need to stop using the word big. My vocabulary isn't...big. Huge.

Huge. Okay.

A: SEED long black pants
It's one of those pants which has those zips that turns it into three quarter ones. I've been wanting one of these since Form 3, but as you all are aware of, my (drastically sexy) long legs and (drastically sexy) slim waist would result to either a fitting pants which is too short or one which is long enough to cover my stork legs but requires me to go on intensive Sumo feast.

...And to be honest, this pants is for 15 years old. :p (AND TO BE EVEN MORE HONEST, I could only fit in 12 year old ones a year or two ago! I'm so proud of my weight gain. Unlike the COUGHCOUGHCOUGHmajority of you, it's a miracle of sort. Please don't kill me.)

B: SESAME STREET Cookie Monster black T Shirt
This was a "I AM SO BUYING THIS" apparel. I mean, come on. It's Cookie Monster. Sing along with me!

C is for Cookie, it's good enough for me~

(Oh by the way, it's been a month since I got these clothes, so I don't remember the prices. They weren't cheap though. I love you mummy!)

My blog turning soppy, can? Let's move on.

C: UNITED COLOURS OF BENETTON 'MeowMeow' belt
I named the belt myself. Doesn't it scream MeowMeow to you? Sure does, doesn't it?

D: TOPMAN Twister Jeans
According to mummy, this would be the 'jeans you wear to big big occasions'. I get so many clothes from Topman. Heck they're expensive, but they have my waist size :p

E: RENOMA Jeans
According to mummy, this would be the 'jeans you wear to hang out or stuff equaivelant'. Another pair of jeans, and I'm not actually THAT fond of them.

The thing is, according to the Waistline Law of Jeen, 'whenever a pair of outergarments encasing legs seperately to the full is found fitting the waistline (GASP27;with28beingtheborderline) and length of lower limbs of Kien Jeen, the apparel is immediately bought.'

Actually, i think my HIPS are 28, since 29 = straight drop after 2 steps of careful walking. GOODNESS YOU ARE ANEROXIC, KIEN JEEN.

My God, this entry is heck of long. And it's the first time in ages I've bought only informal clothing. Thank you IMU for those wonderful memories of shopping for formal ones.

Especially THEM PANTS.

Whut.

This post is SORT OF for slightly more mature readers only. Or those who are Pokemon fanatics. Or actually, not. I have no idea.

:) So look away if you have to.

As you can actually see from my chatbox at the side (as of the time this entry was posted), you can notice how incredibly naughty some of my avid fans of my blog can be.

Surprise, surprise; lookie what I found in Deviantart.

And before you assume, I SO DID NOT search for a vibrating Rotom there. IT IS SO WRONG.

Art's by vaporotem. More cool art can be seen here. There aren't anymore 'pleasure Pokemon', unless you count this in. People like her make this world a better place.

Or so I think.

NOTE: I'm sure most of you wouldn't understand what a Rotom is if you're not a Pokemon addict. D: It's more of a fun-poking session between me and Adrian. So excuse our stale humour.

Being Popular isn't Very Fun

Especially when you're known as a talent to many in graphics designing.

I have so many design projects due either tomorrow or Monday! ALL VOLUNTARY!

a) M&M Logo (DONE!)
b) M&M + IMU Ball Project Poster/Wallpaper (DONE!)
c) M&M + IMU Ball Promotional Slideshow (at least this can be delayed; details weren't fully given yet :D) [EDIT: DONE!]
d) SRC's request for poster (NOT STARTED!) [EDIT: DONE!]
e) M&M MPO Poster (STARTED BUT HATED IT SO MUCH I'M GOING TO START OVER! Yes, I'm a perfectionist.) [EDIT: DONE!]
f) IMU BALL Deco Mini Project (DONE!)

And there was that IMUCAMPUS.com wallpaper now proudly displayed in every uni computer :D (IMUians, go there and start conversing or sharing your thoughts!)

And I'm the PBL leader for Monday. Can die.

If my power supply was not to be replaced, I wouldn't have to really do all this. Oh well, as they say, I LURVE getting myself into difficult situations for the heck of it.

:D I lurve myself.

Wednesday, October 8, 2008

Like a Goth, only much less dark and much more Harry Potter.

My CPU is finally back alive! As suspected, the power supply was at fault. Remind me not to leave my computer switched on for more than a week next time.

It seems my annual PMS sessions are ALWAYS during the same month. For reasons almost alike.

:D Emo!

(Bleh, what is with me and posting short sentences without funny pictures with witty taglines D: I need INSPIRATION!)

SO TERRIBLY WORRIED.

Yet, I can't (and shouldn't in a more correct way to put it) express it. :(

IS THIS MY FIRST OF MANY EMO POSTS OF NOW ON?! D: I assure you, it's a possibility, but I'll make sure it's a rare one. I myself vowed to make this a happy sunshine place.

Speaking of which, on the bright side, my CPU is dead!

...:D wait, that wasn't a happy thing, was it? Unless it means me getting a new one.

Now that could make me smile wide.

*continues listening to Super Trouper*
BUT I WON'T FEEL BLUEEEEEEEEE.

I'm ALIVE!

Yes, I'm not six feet under. :D But I'm not going to post anything in detail for reasons I cannot avoid. Such as laziness. Ah, such a firewall.

Anyways, here's a few things to get the ball rolling:

1. Orientation for the second medicine batch of 2008 was awesome. Super awesome! Awesome enough for me who didn't want to be active in it to become a retarded, demented super-villain for Group 9. MALIG-9, YOU ROCK!

2. Mock OSCE was awesome. Prof. Achike, I love you :)

3. A tribute to Tissy: Happy Belated Birthday Tissy! :D Thank you for all the pokings and pushings (and sometimes literally doing so) to make me study! May all your wishes come true :)

4. I went to Genting! All about my !romantick! day here!

(Of course, you have to be a friend in Facebook to view. Got embarrassing pictures in there. Sorry la.)

5. WATCH MAMMAMIA! SCREW SHIA LEBOUF AND HIS EAGLE EYE. Meryl Streep is a good enough reason for the movie, and let's add in ABBA goodness into that!

6. I've not been cooking or baking :( Boo.

7. To the certain people who would understand this: I'm not gonna give up! :p

And that is all for this time. Godspeed, I'll dust the cobwebs of this inferior place soon. Or eventually.

:D ...Pray hard.

CHONG WEI MADE ME DIDN'T DO MY PBL!

Hey I updated! :p

(P.S: I'm so loving He Hanbin. HAHAHA. The mixed doubles for bronze was indeed the most intense match for badminton I've seen.)

Back to studying. And oh, PBL. Sheeeeet. :p

What I Want For ANYTHING.

THIS. THISTHISTHISTHISTHIS. (edited; two videos have died. Sheesh to copyright infringement by third party. If this video is gone, I'll have to upload it myself. It's not really the best quality but...:P)

MY VERY OWN 2008 MEN-POWERED DIGITAL COUNTDOWN CLOCK.

..And I should really update. My cookies are waiting. :(

Wednesday, July 30, 2008

GRAHHGHAGHGRHAH!

Uni days are back to haunt me.

I'm currently so busy with reports, discussions, studies and Rhythm Tengoku Gold (uh...apparently) that the Cookie Tales have to wait for a little while more. :(

See, I never edit the font size of the post also leh!

This post will self-destruct when I finish everything uni-related OR Rhythm Tengoku Gold. Money's on the latter. :p

Masak-Masak: Chocolate Chip Cookies

I can never stop blogging about food, can I? :) You all love them anyways!

Cookies, something NOT too different from cakes and pies, right? It wasn't as easy as I thought. For now, a teaser picture; stay tuned to venture through the Cookie Tales and whether they were edible or not!

@1U & Pop Dem Corn: The Dark Knight

Before ANYONE makes a reference to WHY SO SERIOUS?, no, it's NOT the most influential quote of the movie.

And the movie reeked worse than durian.

Surely even guano's not as bad!

...Aha I was only joking. Mostly about the latter though; my most memorable quote of the movie would be a spoiler.

I had tickets booked early Saturday to ensure actually having seats, despite watching on a weekday. And it was true, the box had a full house. Let's track back to the journey to 1U, I assure you it's almost as interesting as the movie itself. Almost as.

1. My aunt (I seem to always be having outings with my aunt. Hmm.) totally forgot we had to collect reservations 45 minutes before the movie. Movie was at 3.30. It was 2.15 then. Journey takes 30 minutes.

I guess you could pretty much calculate yourself :p

2. My aunt happily took a wrong turn.

Eh, were we heading for Jurong Bird Park or the Olympics already ah?

3. My aunt HAPPILY drove into the wrong parking lane. She drove into the lane where cars were COMING OUT(Goodness, we all screamed like hillbillies attempting to catch anacondas).

I had my fair share of bad luck as well.

4. I conveniently FORGOT the reservation numbers for the movie. And thankfully, a miracle occured whereby my out of juice phone miraculously received credit and I could call kar jie to get the details for me (thanks again! More Nerds for you next time).

All that and we still got the tickets. Yay us! Alright, back about the movie.

Why so serious, why so serious, WHY SO SERIOUS! :( This was such a good poster to not include.

I had anticipated The Dark Knight since trailers and teasers popped like mushrooms. Everything about it seemed so fine. The actors, the effects, everything. It was a must-watch, even though I embarrassingly did not for Batman Begins.

The movie kicked ass and more. The plot twists and suspenses were cleverly played. I serously don't want to spoil anything, but things are never what you expect in The Dark Knight.

Maybe I'll suddenly burst into millions of animal balloons! YOU'LL NEVER KNOW!

The actors were awesome, with much appreciation to the late Heath Ledger. The only person I had problem with would be Christian Bale as Batman when he talks.

He sounds like he needs heck load of Strepsils. I know it's voice manipulation and all but...as a matter of fact, I'll live. Things could have been worse.

Why so METROSEXUAL?

Seriously. This is the movie of 2008 so far, unless you're my aunt or Ah Ma.

Aunt: Ei, the movie not nice also.
Jeen: What? Are you serious? How come?
Aunt: I don't know what was going on also. Only CRASH BOOM PIANG and that psycho (Joker). So scary!

Jeen: Ah Ma, ho kua bo? (Grandma, was it nice to watch?)
Ah Ma: Wa ma na eh hiao kua? ing boon hi leh! (How would I know if it was? It's freakin' English!)

:p So yes, it's recommended. We should all watch such movies before we grow too old to appreciate them! :(

And guess who attempted to drive out of the parking mall through the entrance? :p True story.

Verdict: A+

Living to Eat: Sweet Bean @ Sri Petaling

Durian's finally all gone; oh how I procastinate eventhough I'm ever so eager :( Here it is though, enjoy! :)

Last Wednesday (SEE, ALMOST A WEEK AGO. KIEN JEEN IS A LAZY BUM!) was my first clinical examination practice. Finally I got to be in the Clinical Skills Unit without being the patient. It was a fun experience, yaddayaddayadda AHH FOOD! (It's what everyone is waiting for anyways :p)

One of the many eateries which proved to be of great dining in Sri Petaling (provided you have the money) would be Sweet Bean. Christy, Huey Ning, it's not Red Bean (or the many other alternative names you come up with).

IT'S SWEET BEAN!

The bean in the logo not red also!

This place is located not too far from IMU, but not near enough to walk according to Kien Jeen's standards. I come up with pretty bad standards.

Sweet Bean provides a variety of food kinds, mostly Chinese fusion.

Here's their nasi minyak.

Here's the order...er of the nasi minyak. She said it was good. Then again, most food's good to her soooo... :p

Here's my cheese baked rice with chicken. I go for exquisite taste. I like pretending to be fancy rich.

Note; pretend.

And then sulk at my bankruptcy for the month. Anyways, back to our lovely dish.

As of EVERYTHING with cheese (sorry Tissy, but it's true!), it tasted wonderful.

What's to really go all squeamish upon though are they're variety of desserts.

Clockwise from the black liquid would be chee ma wu (however you pinyin sesame broth. I don't even know what it's called in English, alamak.), egg milk dessert pudding things with strawberries (I have NO creativity in descriptions. Ask me to draw, yes; but I can never describe to save my life), fa sang wu (peanut paste, this I know :p), and my delicious pumpkin pudding.

Of course, the puddings were awesome. Don't know about the wus, they weren't mine.

As horrid gluttons we always are, we ordered honeydew sago...iced...thing (I need to hire someone for this.) which looked like it came from Shrek.

What else were we to do if not to amaze at the artificially coloured ice before scoffing?

The melons are mine, all mine!!

"Mass is lime green and has gross, multiple polyps with enlarged nodules."

While I...

...look like a mutated rat about to pounce :p I make awkward faces la, I know!

Verdict: A-

A Supposingly Yummy Entry

I intended (and was very well prepared) to make a delicious post but the awful stench of evil known as durian overpowered my need to do so.

I don't even bother to edit my font for this bloody post. No time for pictures and awful captions and flavour texts also. See how wicked durian can be? :(

I AM SO NOT MALAYSIAN.

Living to Eat: Meiji Hokkaido Apollo Blueberry

THESE. ARE. SO. DELISH.

'Berglitter-glitter'

They're Meiji's Winter Limited Edition featuring lovely blueberries, famous in cold Hokkaido.

When i first saw it in Jaya 33, I was all hyped up. BLUEBERRIES, PEOPLE; how can this fail?

And they definitely didn't (:

Look at the cute packaging. So tempting.

Yes I know, I'm easy to please when it comes to cute packaging which scream "NIPPON DAISUKIIII!" But really, give credit to this box.

To my horror, there were only nine; SEMBILAN; KYU mini packages inside!

Ichi, ni, san...hait, kyu no chokoretto dake :(

The bloody baby costed RM13.00 OKAYYYY!!

I would not have bought it in the first place; I did not notice the price tag when I made my purchase :p

Nevertheless, I'll be savouring each piece. Slowly. Or until it expires. Whichever comes later.

Because these little cones are so yummy (: A massive win point would be the REAL BLUEBERRY PIECES AND FLAVOUR! Waliauweh, Nippon ichiban!

I SO cannot buy these anymore. I'm sure my mum will go berserk. MUST...RESIST...TEMPTATION...

...

*opens fridge* Hey, one can only last so long.

Verdict: A

Downtime.

Oh horrid, horrid blog. Why were you so stubborn in turning back to normal? :( The Nuffnang ad went missing, my WHOLE template went haywire including my fonts and colours.

Even my SPIFFY BANNER went on a 3 minute vacation! Utter chaos!

Where's my garbage of a banner?!

Well, it's obviously entirely my fault, but the 'easiness' of recovering my blog template was almost too much for me to handle.

Back in business. :p An actual post will come, eventually.

Masak-Masak: Caramel Flan/Pudding/Whatever You'd Like to Call It

Puan-puan, cik-cik, hari ini kita belajar masak FLAN ya?

Ah, apa itu flan?

Ini la dia, flan...wa, nampak BEST kan? Uuu sedap~

Anyways, back to reality.

Being so obsessed with this lovely dessert, my aunt surprised me by asking whether we were to try making it for the first time.

But hey, if my bentos turned out well, this should be a piece of cake...or pudding, right?

INGREDIENTS!

4 eggs, heaps of sugar, evaporated milk, and condensed milk. I forgot the amount for everything, but Google is always there to help.

We were supposed to also use vanilla essence and normal milk, but YAY we love to EXPERIMENT!

STEPS!

Firstly, preheat the oven at 175 degrees. My aunt conveniently forgot this step initially. See how helpful I can be?

Then, make the caramel with the sugar with a LITTLE bit of water. My aunt added heaps on the first trial and the water evaporated leaving us with normal sugar again.

Stir as it melts, AND DON'T STOP. KEEP STIRRING.

It magically turns brown! Oolala, magnifico!

Quickly turn off the heat, and let it cool while ATTEMPTING to even up the caramel on the base (which we failed horribly. But I guess evening it out isn't very important, since it LOOKED evened out in the end. And I think she should not have buttered the base, so I'll not at it to the steps :p)

At this point, my aunt and I laughed, reassuring ourselves this will TURN OUT WELL.

So we continued: add the eggs, evaporated milk and condensed milk (and supposedly, vanilla essence and milk) into the blender and WOOOOOOSH!

If you prefer, you may stick to the traditional way of stirring. My aunt and I just appreciate technology. :p

After it's all blended, pour the mixture in the 'caramel coated' pan and stick'em in the oven for 175 degrees for an hour or so.

As time passed by, the aroma was so tempting, yet the looks of things were pretty unconvincing.

As the oven dings, we took the pudding out.

...OH MY GOD.

Was a mutated fried egg thing suppose to appear before our eyes!? We just hoped judging the book by its cover would apply OH SO WELL now.

(We learned this from Google!) When you think it's done (...we just hope it looked done), stick a knife into the pudding to determine the...pudding-ness of the pudding.

And then, refrigerate the sucker for some time. So I went home.

..THE NERVE, THE SUSPENSE WAS KILLING ME AND MY AUNT HAD TO CUT THE PUDDING BEFORE I TOOK A PHOTO OF IT AN HOUR LATER :(

So, here's what I got.

It didn't look as bad, but not as what we expected.

The taste?

REVOLTING.

No la, joking only. It tasted ESPECIALLY SWEET, thanks to the thick caramel and there was a strong smell of condensed milk. The texture was NOTHING like pudding, but I guess a failure now just improves one, eh? :p

VERDICT: Edible with no stomach-aches after.

@: Metrojaya in Avenue K

:( Looks like no one wants a double fudge cookie (or no one cares at all! Whee! :p)

After our hectic window-shopping in KLCC, my aunt wanted to check out what was there at the other side of the LRT station. KLCC would be at your left when you arrive in the station; she was mentioning the right.

To the left, to the left~ Every freakin' person only knows how to go to the left~

It was Avenue K in Jalan Ampang. From the station, all everyone could see would be food chain outlets. What laid upstairs was a surprise to my aunt. A HUGE SURPRISE.

There was a Metrojaya household items open sale.

You see, my family, including my aunt, has grown intimate with MetroJaya (MJ if you will) since its usefulness proved worthy until it left us with no shopping centre in Section 14 (Jaya's gone now too mmkay!) Although there was one in MidValley, she craved for more.

My aunt all excited asked the cashier if there were other outlets nearby (addiction I tell you!), to which the reply must have gotten the Hallelujah sound effects with little cherubs flying around my aunt.

There were not only MJ outlets upstairs in the 'looking very new' shopping mall, but the MJ outlets were CATEGORIZED.

Like All Intimates MJ, for instance.

We proceeded to All Homes, since my aunt wanted to get a vase. And guess what, she DID get her vase there for RM17 (50% off!). This just made her affection towards MJ grow tenfold, but I guess it's alright; poor aunt's finally gotten her lovely shopping mall back :p

All Homes was 'categorized' even, with parts like for gardening; even an Arabic and Oriental theme.

And I SO want the clock above.

Anyways, what bothers me (and mostly my aunt) would be that the place was eerily empty.

So empty I could do THIS!

And THIS!

AND...okay nevermind.

Upon asking a saleswoman on duty though, we learned that the store has been there for A YEAR. KANASAI, I am so damn ulu like that!

All my aunt mentioned was "Aiyo, if like that this place ma chap lap soon!" (Oh no, if things go on, this place won't stay for very long!) <- I laughed like crap typing that.

Then again, I guess we woudn't have known the existence of MJ so near KLCC if we weren't adventurous enough. I'm pretty sure a majority of Malaysians are like that too, resulting to a SO empty shopping mall in the middle of KL.

So I hope everyone visits the place and buys something (I don't know, maybe a CLOCK of some sort? :p) so that it doesn't go all bankrupt, or my aunt will continue whining again :p

Falala, I have 2 FOOD POSTS COMING!

@: KLCC

I have always been reluctant when it comes to shopping in KLCC. It's not due to the massive crowd, or how expensive things can get (I stand by my statement that KLCC is a tourist shopping mall).

It's the number of pondans haunting the area.

"Hi bang, wanna have fun?"

...This post entry is starting to sound very offending. :p But really, it's the truth! KLCC is turning into KLSissies.

I've never seen any other shopping mall turned into transvestite haven. Really, I don't mean to be insulting those that choose this path of life (and I don't mind them actually existing), but you guys really get on my nerves when you appear in a flock.

ESPECIALLY when you can't pull it off well to be a 'woman'. It's like you're a whole different gender, no offence. Do what you wanna do, just not...gah, nevermind. (I've been wondering too, being a gay's much different than being a tranny, right? One does not love women, one loves to ATTEMPT being a woman; with a caps-locked 'attempt').

What bothers me is how much I typed without putting reference photos, but hey, it's for my blog's own good (and my readers' too!)!

...Anyways, KLSissy isn't that much of a bad place to hang out. There's Kinokuniya!

Seriously, I can stay there as long as I don't finish reading the free-to-read books. Amazing ambiance alongside Bach's Minuet in G, sipping on coffee (yes, they have a booth cafe now) whilst flipping through The Twisted Stethoscope. Such class.

I even got my black ID tag holder there too! :D

Part 2 + a food post coming soon! :O

1Utama's Ultimate(ly Due) Race

1 Utama Shopping Mall was having one of their fun events again.

I guess it'll turn out something like the Amazing Race. Feeling quite interested, I continued reading the ad (YES, I read newspapers).

OHMYSALMONGODOFSUSHI. RM10K FOR THE WINNING TEAM? RM1K FOR 10 CONSOLATION WINNERS TOO!

The drive in me made me very excited and wanting to enter the competition. Whoever be it my partner, I MUST JOIN THIS.

Then, I looked at the entry deadline.

1 Utama ah 1 Utama, you know how to promote your events wan or not? Then again, was it a Saturday on 5th July last year?

...*continues lazing around.*

Living to Eat: Nagomi Shabu-Shabu @ Jaya 33

First up, HAPPY ONE MONTHIE, BLOGGIE! Presents, anyone? :p

Anyways, back to what people actually LIKE about my blog: food posts. As promised, here's the latest of the lot.

As dad was in Thailand, mum, my aunt, grandma, sis and I went to a place my dad would NEVER take us on Saturday. As mentioned before, he's very picky with his choice of dining, and in someway despises most places we want to try (be it the reason of price or majority of the time his taste for food).

Nagomi Shabu-Shabu it was, then.

'Shabu-Shabu', which literally means swishing sounds of things (in this case, meat) in the water, is a traditional Japanese dish. Usually, the people from the Land of the Rising Taiyo would dine with beef (and I can clearly imagine those rich, fat, bald businessman would dine Kobes. Go Google Kobe beef to find out more).

Steps we amazingly followed one by one. So not Malaysian!

Ironically, none of us tried beef (and definitely not Kobe beef. RM129 for 120g leh!)

Sis and I got the duck, while the rest got chicken.

Last ducked 2008. My puns are so funny.

Duck, which was more expensive, was more succulent and delicious. The tediousness of shabu-ing one duck slice at a time was painstakingly time-wasting though. No wonder businessmen love it, they have ALL the time they want. But seriously, it's delicious with the Goma sauce (which is peanut-y.)

Like satay lo, only healthier and Japanese-ier. :p

As we put the vegetables in, the waitresses make cute little meatballs out of the minced meat with spoons. Ah, such service. Everyone obliged for their assistance since it was our first time shabu-ing, so what the heck, let the pros do it.

I so totally took a photo of her without her head on purpose.

The minced meat tasted SOOO wonderful, I ate them bit by bit. The accompanying vegetables did their job in making the broth tasteful, giving the meat a more delicious taste (I speak as if I'm some judge from Iron Chef like that.)

There were 3 sauces available, Ponzu sauce (which is vinegar plus sesame and what not), Chilli (apparently for the Malaysian tongue. I didn't touch a bit :p) and Goma sauce as mentioned earlier (which would obviously be the sauce on the right.) The step-by-step gives a brief description on which sauce accompanies which food, hence the variety.

My aunt complained that the Chilli wasn't as good as Chinese steamboat ones. Haiya, how la to compare? Why compare in the first place, since this Chilli was only to SUIT the Malaysian tongue (don't believe me, look at the step-by-step on top!).

One meal is enough to make one bloated, as you tackle (very deliciously) on the vegetables, tofu, mushrooms, meat (in sliced and minced form) and rice, which you turn into congee (bubur la) with the stock. Seriously, I had a great time there and had a wonderful experience ENJOYING my dinner (2 hours of non-stop eating, yum!) Mum and my aunt couldn't finish their chicken too, so I had a whopping 2 platters of meat for myself (:

Yet, I'm still less than 45 kg :( *hears envious hisses*

In conclusion, Nagomi Shabu-Shabu is a great place for those who love steamboats, want a Japanese 'winter' dinner experience or to take your time in eating. A word of caution; bring enough money! (My aunt purposely made us order water only as a precaution :p Hehe!) The bill was a whopping RM180 for 5 people. Oh well, good things do come with a price.

Verdict: B+
